Grounds Overview
![]() | Over the last few weeks we have had several inquiries regarding the cutting of the grass and the weeds that run along the creek that passes through Stetson Creek sub-division. First, the HOA Board of Directors made a decision to cut back on the mowing of the greenbelts, this would raise the height of the grass. The decision was made after reviewing the current water statement for the year, we were trying to cut down on watering by keeping the grass a little higher so it wouldn't burn... Our water statement was getting close to the penalty phase, so this option was the only we could use to try to keep the grass green yet save water... Second, the creek or drainage ditch aka McClelland Creek that runs through Stetson Creek Sub-Division has been turned over to Stetson Creek HOA. There are still rules and regulations to what we can do with this property. This area is NOT to be cut right up to the creek, we have been instructed to leave the area with 5 feet buffer of each side uncut... We have inquired about this several times, on to the status of this property... It is used in several ways, one is that slows the flow of water when we have our flash rain storms, it is used by nature... If the mosquitoes become a problem then Fort Collins Insect Control can be called for assistance... I hope this answers some questions... Please direct any comments or suggestions related to Stetson Creek Sub-Division grounds to the Board of Directors using the button on the website. |
